Gyptian is a Jamaican reggae singer from  St. Andrew, Jamaica.  In 2005 he scored two hits, "Is There A Place" on the Seasons Riddim and "Serious Times".  The twenty-three year old singer has been dominating the Jamaician charts with hits including "Is There a Place", "Beautiful Lady", and the chart-topping ballad, "Mama, Don't Cry". Gyptian was nominated for Best New Entertainer at the 2006 International Reggae and World Music Awards,

His style musically  has been compared to established Jamaican artists, such as Sizzla, Luciano and Beres Hammond.  Gyptians music has been labeled roots regge or lovers rock.  With song about love and political issues.

Gyptian released his first album on VP Records. On 12 December 2007.   As of May 2010, his single "Hold You (Hold Yuh)" had peaked at number 33 on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Chart.

JLS (an initialism of Jack the Lad Swing) are a British boyband, who were runners-up in the fifth series of ITV reality talent show The X Factor in 2008. The group consists of Aston Merrygold, Marvin Humes, Jonathan "JB" Gill, and Oritsé Williams. JLS signed to Epic Records Following their appearances on The X Factor.

JLS enjoyed continued chart success throughout 2009. Their first two singles "Beat Again" and "Everybody in Love" both went to number-one on the UK Singles Chart. The group debut album was released in November of 2009, and has since gone triple platinum, with sales of over one million copies in the UK. JLS won the awards for British Breakthrough and British Single ("Beat Again") at the 2010 BRIT Awards. In 2010, JLS became the first X Factor contestants to win a Brit Award.

JLS’S debut album was released in the United Kingdom , and debuted at #1 on the UK and Ireland Album Charts. Three singles were released from the self-tiltiled debut.

The first single "Beat Again" was especially successful on the UK Singles Chart, debuting at #1, selling 106,299 copies. The single became the second fasest-selling single of 2009 at the time of release. The song was written especially for the group by Wayne Hector and Steve Mac.

"Everybody in Love" was the second single by British boyband JLS from their self-titled debut album. The song became the band's second number one single in the UK on 8 November 2009. The song was Also released to U.S. market. Charting on the Mainstream Top 40 and US Hot 100 Airplay radio.

EVERBODY IN LOVE

"One Shot" was released as the third and final single from their debut album, JLS. The song reached the A-List on Radio 1's playlist and number 6 in the UK singles chart.

ONE SHOT 

In 2010, JLS signed an American record deal with Jive Records, and released "Everybody in Love" as their debut US single. They are currently recording their second but first U.S. studio album in the United States.

La Roux are an English electropop and synthpop duo made up of singer Eleanor Jackson and synthesizer player, co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid.  Their music is influenced by 1980s synthpop including Yazoo, Erasure, Depeche Mode, The Human League, Heaven 17 and Blancmange.

Their first project was named "Automan" and they wrote largely acoustic music.

La Roux's debut single, "Quicksand", was released by French independent record label Kitsuné Music in December 2008. They then signed to Polydor Records in order to release their debut album.

La Roux is the self-titled debut album by the English electropop duo La Roux, released in the United Kingdom on 29 June 2009 by Polydor Records, in Canada on 28 July 2009 by Universal Music Group, and in the United States on 29 September 2009 by Cherrytree Records. It was nominated for the 2009 Mercury Prize. All songs written/co written by Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid. he set sold 62,650 copies in its first week, which became the highest first-week sales for a debut album in 2009,^[15] until Florence and the Machine released her debut disc Lungs, which sold 63,020 copies.^[16] It has sold 350,000 copies in the UK so far.^[

"Quicksand" was the first single from La Roux from their self-titled debut album, La Roux in 2009 . Written and produced by Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid, the song was released as the album's lead single on 15 December 2008 by Kitsuné Music.^[1] It peaked at number 153 on the UK Singles Chart.  Then was re-released on 23 November 2009, the single re-entered the chart at number 129.

"In for the Kill"  was released as the album's second single in the United Kingdom on 16 March 2009, peaking inside the top ten in the UK. The  influenced by the title theme of the '80s cartoon classic Pole Position, with even the video paying homage to the show.

Bulletproof", the third single,written and produced by both members of La Roux, the song was released in the United Kingdom on 22 June 2009 as the album's third single in digital and physical formats from two labels, Polydorand Kitsuné Music. Debuted at number one on the UK Singles Chart. "Bulletproof" was ranked number twenty-five on Rolling Stone's list of The 25 Best Songs of 2009.  The song also reache number one on the US dance chart, with a peal postion of 29 Billboard Hpt 100.

Esmée Denters is a Dutch singer-songwriter. She was a regular cover-artist on video-sharing website YouTube onwhich she covered songs by contemporary musicians like Justin Timberlake and Natasha Bedingfield. In 2008 she went on to start her professional career after attracting the attention of Dutch media scouts and Justin Timberlake. Timberlake went on to sign Denters as the first artist to his label Tennman Records in association with Interscope Records. 

In May 2009 she released her debut studio album, Outta Here in the Netherlands and Belguim . The album was executively produced by Timberlake. Denters co-wrote allsongs on the album. The album has so far spawned two singles including the title song which reached top 3 and the less successful "Admit It" which reached 28 and 56 in the Netherlands and UK respectively.

Since he album was released in the UK on 11 January 2010. Denters also worked on several collaborations during this time. Notable on 19 April 2010 Chipmunk released his collaboration featuring Denters, "Until You Were Gone". She has also lent her vocals to the German band Stanfour who have featured Denters on their new single "Life Without You" due for release on 25 May 2010. On May 1 Esmée and Stanfour flew to New York to record the video for "Life Without You"
